This case study shows how we helped a recruiting and talent acquisition company migrate automation platforms, switching from Zapier to Make in order to enhance their customer interaction capabilities.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Our client is a company that focuses on professional networking, recruiting, and talent acquisition solutions, and has established itself as a key player in connecting jobseekers with employers. It offers a talent acquisition platform that integrates effective applicant management with both active and passive sourcing. This way, our client aims to provide its customers with easy access to talent and modern hiring solutions.
To efficiently interact with their customers, our client utilized a sophisticated customer engagement platform that helped them collect and unify data, segment their audience, build custom customer journeys, and interact with their audience across multiple channels. This allowed our client to forge personal connections with their customers, no matter their size or technical competence, deliver personalized customer experiences, and efficiently manage lead information.
To maximize their potential, our client integrated their customer engagement platform with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Salesforce. This integration was essential for tracking interactions and efficiently managing customer relationships.
To automate these processes, our client utilized the automation tool Zapier, enabling them to create fully automated workflows without needing programming knowledge. This boosted their productivity, efficiency, and consistency. Within Zapier, they implemented Zaps that collected essential user information from Salesforce and transferred it back to their customer engagement platform to facilitate the subsequent segmentation of customers.
However, our client wished for a more flexible, cost-effective solution, that allowed them to set more specific adjustments to filter their customers. Therefore, they turned to 0hands to transition from Zapier to the no-code iPaas automation platform Make. With its user-friendly visual interface, flexibility, and affordable packages, Make was the ideal choice for automating and optimizing our client’s work processes.
Before implementing the automation platform switch, we developed a custom Make app for our client’s customer engagement platform. We connected the necessary endpoints and ensured private access to the app. We then began the process of rebuilding the existing Zaps in Make.
To do this, we meticulously reviewed each relevant Zap, examining their triggers, actions, and further step details. The purpose of these Zaps was mainly to transfer relevant information from Salesforce to our client’s customer engagement platform. Here, users were evaluated for cross-sell potential and subsequently segmented accordingly.
After thoroughly analyzing the Zaps, we recreated them one-to-one in Make, ensuring that all necessary steps were replicated accurately in the Make scenarios. Once we rebuilt the Zaps in Make, we then optimized the workflows, introducing flexibility that allowed our client to customize flows and filter customers according to specific criteria, such as contact or contract types. This enabled smarter, more precise adjustments to their existing workflows.
Ultimately, through strategic integrations and a switch to a platform that better suited his needs, our client – a leading company in professional networking, recruiting, and talent acquisition – significantly enhanced their customer interaction capabilities. By initially leveraging Salesforce and Zapier, they established a robust automated workflow to manage and segment customer data efficiently. However, seeking greater flexibility and cost-effectiveness, they transitioned to the automation platform Make with our assistance.
This move not only replicated but also refined their existing workflows, providing the client with advanced customization options. The development of the custom Make app for our client’s customer engagement platform and the seamless migration of their Zaps empowered our client to create more personalized and efficient customer journeys.
